Meet The Staff Team

My name is Chris and I am the Director at AES. I have an MA in Psychology and am both a qualified teacher (PGCE) and educational psychologist (MSc). I also have an MA in Special Educational Needs: Inclusion and Disability Studies. I have a passion for supporting students with SEN to achieve their potential and I enjoy seeing those students who have not had many positive experiences come to AES and begin to believe in themselves as both learners and people of value. I care deeply about the school, its ability to be a transformative experience for our students and in developing a great staff team which can deliver on this vision.

My name is Mareme and I am the lead teacher at AES. I have a long background in education starting from being a volunteer in an SEN school at age 14. I studied physcology at University to better prepare myself for teaching a wide range of children. Alongside a PGCE with maths specialism, I also have a keen interest in how computing can be used, not only to prepare children for a digital age, but also to engage them in the curriculum

My name is Dino and my qualifications include a Teaching Assistant Level 3 Diploma and a MBA in International Management. I have previously worked as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting and I am working as an Unqualified Teacher at AES. I am currently in the process of completing my QTS in order to become a fully qualified Teacher. I teach Business Studies and PSHE at AES and I find my role both challenging and rewarding and I enjoy my role fully.

My name is Emma. I am a teacher at AES. I have a bachelor’s degree in Fine and Applied Art, and am also a qualified teacher (QTLS trained). I have about 7 years’ experience working supporting Key stage 2-5 students with SEN  in various  roles across London. I love to use my creative skills  to deliver lesson activities in an environment and atmosphere that will keep students engaged and motivated. They in turn will enjoy learning new skills, overcome barriers to learning, and succeed aspiring to do great things in future.

My name is Quincy. My qualifications include A-levels in history, creative writing, government and politics and a level 2 BTEC in ICT. I have worked as a volunteer teaching assistant in my college as a member of my student union for four years, working with ESOL students and students with learning difficulties. I am currently a teaching assistant at AES, working closely with students 1:1 and helping to make the school more technologically interactive while I also prepare to start teacher training to get my QTS.
